OpenTrac, a division of Northrop Grumman Corporation, has been involved in developing and implementing cloud computing applications like SaaS and EDI Services for 10 years.

In 1998, Northrop Grumman established the Industrial Operations group, now known as the Information Systems-Supply Chain Management group. The focus was to provide SaaS applications and eCommerce solutions for the Metals industry. Our products are currently in active use with100+ customers in the metals industry including major steel producers in North America.

Our People

Northrop Grumman Information Systems prides itself on having one of the most experienced teams of Information Systems and Technology experts in the Metals Industry. With combined experience of over 100 years, in the areas of shop floor management, in the Melt Shop, the Cold Mill, the Hot Mill, Pipe and Draw Mills and Forge Shops. We represent knowledge and expertise in process control, shop wide scheduling, metallurgy, production engineering, EDI, Information Systems and back office functions.

Our team members wear the colors of many of the industry leaders including ISG, USS, Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, J&L, Special Metals Corporation, Republic Steel, The Timken Company and several others.

Our Technology

Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector creates systems using the latest cost saving technologies for IT.  Our systems are built on a cloud computing platform with SaaS applications. Our focus is using secure internet connections and eCommerce to transfer information.  Suppliers, producers and customers are able to communicate on a transactional base by having all their information relayed through the synching of software and databases through SaaS.

Our systems are designed from the ground up to be open and easily modified to the particular needs of our customer.  Our applications are designed with the best of breed in mind. We know each customer has individual needs and we strive to meet them.
