In 1998, Northrop Grumman established the Industrial Operations group, now known as the Supply Chain Management group,  to focus on providing technology-based solutions within the Metals industry. Our products are currently in active use within 100+ customers in the metals industry including most of the major Steel Producers in North America.

Northrop Grumman Industrial Operations prides itself on having one of the most experienced teams of Information Systems and Technology experts in the Metals Industry. With combined experience of over 100 years, in the areas of shop floor management, in the Melt Shop, the Cold Mill, the Hot Mill, Pipe and Draw Mills and Forge Shops. We represent knowledge and expertise in process control, shop wide scheduling, metallurgy, production engineering, EDI, Information Systems, Accounting and back office functions.

Our Technology

Northrop Grumman Industrial Operations sector creates systems using the latest cost saving technologies for IT.  Our systems are built on Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, which focuses on using secure internet connections to transfer information.  Suppliers, producers and customers can now communicate on a transactional base by having all their information relayed through the synching of software and databases through SaaS.
